Newport Visual Arts Center Announces Lineup of Art Workshops and Collaborative Learning Opportunities

NEWPORT, OR: As the coast prepares to transition into the vibrant energy of spring, the Newport Visual Arts Center (VAC) is proud to announce upcoming art classes and open studio sessions designed to inspire local creators of all skill levels.

First, on March 14^th, a unique dive into the intersection of sculpture and sound. Instructor Rena Ekmanis will lead a workshop on creating Clay Ocarina Flutes. This hands-on experience invites participants to explore the delicate balance of acoustics and clay hand-building, guiding them through the process of shaping, voicing, and tuning their own functional ceramic flutes.
