Newport to Celebrate Its Newest Public Art with Citywide Scavenger Hunt and Free Community Party

Newport, Oregon: Newport's outdoor public art has been quietly growing, and on October 10, the community is invited to see just how much has changed. Oregon Coast Council for the Arts (OCCA), in partnership with the City of Newport, the Newport Public Arts Advisory Committee, and Discover Newport, will host "What's New in Newport," a free, all-ages celebration.

The event begins throughout the day with an at-your-leisure citywide scavenger hunt that will send participants in search of Newport's newest artistic additions – with a chance to win a prize that includes Oregon Coast Aquarium tickets and a gift certificate to dine at Local Ocean! Scavenger hunt cards will be available for pickup at locations throughout Newport, including Newport Performing Arts Center, Newport Visual Arts Center, Newport Public Library, Newport Recreation Center, and Newport Visitor Information…
