Red Octopus Theatre Company Announces Open Auditions for Annual Production of The Christmas Show

NEWPORT, OR — Red Octopus Theatre Company invites local actors and vocalists to take part in an upcoming holiday tradition. Open auditions for The Christmas Show will take place Monday, September 14 at 6:00 pm at the Newport Performing Arts Center, 777 W. Olive Street.

Written by Darcy Lawrence and co-directed by Lawrence and Richie Scott, this year's staging promises another festive, family-friendly celebration of holiday-themed sketch comedy for audiences of all ages. The production will run for one weekend only, with performances scheduled December 18 through December 20, 2026, on the Alice Silverman Stage.

The directors are seeking actors and vocalists aged 14 and older. Performers of all experience levels are welcome, from seasoned stage veterans to those stepping into the theatre for the first time. There is no need to prepare a monologue —…
