Met Opera’s Dazzling Landmark New Frida Kahlo Opera to be Screened in HD at Newport Performing Arts Center

NEWPORT, OR: Oregon Coast Council for the Arts (OCCA) invites audiences to enjoy the final Met Opera in HD presentation of the 2025–26 season. On Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 10:00 am, the Alice Silverman Theatre at Newport Performing Arts Center will host a live-recorded screening of El Último Sueño de Frida y Diego — American composer Gabriela Lena Frank’s breathtaking debut opera, conducted by the Metropolitan Opera’s own Music Director, Yannick Nézet-Séguin.
