The Shinkle Band Brings High-Energy Country Folk To The Newport Performing Arts Center

NEWPORT, OR – Live country music is headed to the Newport Performing Arts Center this summer. Presented by the Oregon Coast Council for the Arts (OCCA), Willamette Valley’s own The Shinkle Band will take the stage for a one-night-only performance at the David Ogden Stiers Theatre on Saturday, August 22, 2026. The high-energy event is scheduled from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm and is open to general audiences.

Comprised of brothers Aaron, Byron, and Roger, The Shinkle Band has been entertaining crowds across the region since 2005. Over their two-decade career, the vocally rich group has become a staple at regional fairs, casinos, and festivals. Their extensive performance history includes serving as the opening act for major country music icons such as Reba McEntire, Neal McCoy, and Joe Diffie.
