Don’t miss The Metropolitan Opera’s High-Definition Live Stream of Verdi’s Macbeth in HD at Newport Performing Arts Center

NEWPORT, OR: Coast Council for the Arts (OCCA) presents a live stream of the Metropolitan Opera production of Verdi’s “Macbeth” on Saturday, October 11, 2026, at 10:00 am. Streamed live in Ultra-High Definition directly from the Met stage in New York, the production will be visible on the big screen in the Alice Silverman Theatre inside Newport Performing Arts Center.

This thrilling production of Verdi’s Shakespearean tragedy captures the dark, psychological tale of a scheming couple driven to seize power at all costs. Renowned baritone Quinn Kelsey takes on the title role as the haunted Scottish monarch, continuing his celebrated work in Verdi’s signature roles. Opposite him, internationally acclaimed dramatic soprano Lise Davidsen stars as the fiercely ambitious Lady Macbeth, whose relentless pursuit of authority ultimately seals the couple’s doom.
