An Inspiring Evening with Indigenous Leaders, Conservation, Music, and Community

YACHATS, Ore. — View the Future is proud to announce its first annual fundraising event, Rooted & Rising: An Evening with Indigenous Leaders and Advocates, taking place Friday, September 12, from 4:00–8:00 p.m. at the Yachats Commons.

The evening will bring together community members, conservation supporters, and Tribal leaders to celebrate the deep connection between Indigenous stewardship, land conservation, and the future of the Yachats area. The event will raise critical support for View the Future's work to preserve the natural and cultural landscapes that define the Yachats community.

The keynote speaker will be Amy Bowers Cordalis, a Yurok attorney, fisherwoman, and nationally recognized advocate for Indigenous rights and Klamath River restoration. Her leadership has been instrumental in one of the largest river restoration efforts in U.S. history and has inspired conservation efforts across the country.
